Ss. Mary & Mathias Catholic Parish, Muscatine, seeks a full‑time Coordinator of Sacred Music to prepare and provide sacred music that elevates parish worship. This role oversees music for all
parish liturgies, directs choirs, coordinates volunteer and paid musicians, and supports seasonal events. The coordinator also has the optional opportunity to teach vocal music in our K–5
Catholic school, plan lessons, direct the middle school choir, and prepare students for concerts and school Masses.
Candidates should have formal knowledge of Catholic liturgy, sacred music, leading a congregation via keyboard, singing, and/or conducting choir. A Master’s degree in music and/or liturgical studies preferred; Bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent experience as church musician are required. Preference given to candidate with keyboard (organ or piano) proficiency. This salaried
position includes benefits, and paid vacation.
Salary range: $75,000.
