Commencement events at St. Ambrose

DAVENPORT — St. Ambrose University will hold its spring commencement ceremony at 1 p.m. May 15 at the i Wireless Center, 1201 River Dr., Moline, Ill. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.; seating is open with no tickets required.

A total of 669 degrees, including 490 bachelor’s degrees, 172 master’s degrees and seven doctoral degrees, will be conferred during the ceremony.

Students or guests needing special accommodations should contact the Services for Students with Disabilities office, (563) 333-6275.

Major Gen. Robert, Radin, assistant deputy chief of staff of Mary logistics at the Pentagon, will be the commencement speaker.

Also during commencement week:

• Master’s degree hooding ceremonies begin at 5:30 p.m., May 14. The College of Business ceremony will be in Christ the King Chapel. The College of Arts and Sciences and College of Education and Health Services joint ceremony is in Galvin Fine Arts Center.

• Nursing pinning ceremony will take place at 8 p.m., May 14, in Galvin Fine Arts.

• Commencement Mass begins at 9 a.m., May 15, in the Galvin Fine Arts Center. All are welcome regardless of faith.

• Brunch will be held at 10 a.m., May 15, in the Rogalski Center Ballroom. Cost is $7 for adults; $3.50 for children ages 6–12; children age 5 and under will be admitted for free.  Advance ticket purchase required. All graduates, families and friends are welcome. Tickets may be purchased with cash or check 8 a.m.– 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, from the Student Accounts Office. A reservation form is available online for ticket purchase by mail.
