DAVENPORT — The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) is now open. Current and prospective college students should complete the form online. St. Ambrose University’s financial aid team encourages students and families to “act quickly to maximize opportunities for scholarships, grants and other financial aid on their way to a valued degree and a successful future.”

“Completing the FAFSA as soon as possible is one of the most important steps students can take to secure funding for their education,” St. Ambrose University President Amy Novak said. “We also have institutional aid awards available, so acting early can make a difference.” Ambrose Advantage is one example of an institutional scholarship that provides full-tuition.

Why act now?
• Submitting the FAFSA early increases a family’s chances of securing aid earlier in the college search process.
• The new FAFSA process is designed to save time and reduce stress.

How to get started:
• Students should gather information such as their Social Security number, 2023 tax information (if applicable) and their FSA ID (FAFSA login).
• Complete instructions and input the St. Ambrose University code 001889 to have the FAFSA sent directly to SAU.
The SAU financial services team can guide students and families through the application process, if needed. “The FAFSA is a critical step toward ensuring students have the resources to achieve their educational and career goals. We’re committed to helping students navigate this process to make their college experience as affordable as possible,” said Julie Haack, SAU’s assistant vice president of financial aid.
