To the Editor:
Thank you for the front-page article in the Dec. 16 edition about the Dever family. It took great courage for that family to tell their story in so public a fashion, and it took courage for you to write and publish it. I am certain many diocesan newspapers would never have published an article supporting LGBTQ individuals and their families. I give thanks for your brave and compassionate standards.
Thank you for constantly confronting us with the fact that there are many ways to be faithfully Catholic.
