Groups to mark Roe v. Wade decision with prayer

The following groups will mark the 46th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in the United States.
Bettendorf — The Women’s Choice Center invites pro-life supporters to recite the rosary on Jan. 22 from 6-6:30 p.m. in the center’s new chapel at its new location, 2740 Happy Joe Dr., Suite 1.

Bettendorf — The Women’s Choice Center also will host a prayer vigil program Jan. 22 from 7-8 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 3775 Middle Road. Enter through Door B under the front portico. Take a left once inside the building.

Fort Madison — North Lee County Right to Life will host its annual March for Life beginning at 10 a.m. on Jan. 26. The walk starts at Tenth Street and Avenue F. Refresh­ments will be served in McAleer Hall afterwards. Signs will be provided.

Iowa City — Johnson County Right to Life will hold a candlelight walk for life Jan. 19 at 6 p.m. The procession begins after the 5 p.m. Mass at St. Mary Church and continues to the Emma Goldman Center.
