BETTENDORF — All Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Venture Scouts, Camp Fire Girls, American Heritage Girls and members of other scouting groups are invited to attend the annual Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting Mass. It will be held Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. The location change is due to construction at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Davenport. Bishop Martin Amos will be the celebrant.
Denise McMonagle, who chairs the Catholic Committee on Scouting, said scouts who have earned Catholic religious emblems in the past year will be acknowledged.
All scouts and leaders are asked to wear their uniforms. A special collection will be taken to support diocesan scouting programs. A reception will follow.
Scouting groups can bring photo displays of unit events and unit displays to be shown in the reception area.
To RSVP for the Mass, contact McMonagle at dccs@diodav.org.
