LeClaire — Will Schadt of Troop 46 in LeClaire has achieved the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout. Schadt has earned 34 merit badges in his 10 years in scouting. He has held positions such as Order of the Arrow representative, quartermaster, patrol leader and senior patrol leader.
Schadt’s accomplishment in serving his community was to build an outdoor classroom at his parish, Our Lady of the River in LeClaire. The classroom is furnished with three benches, a river rock base and an entrance sidewalk.
Schadt, the son of John and Barb Schadt of LeClaire, is a sophomore at Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf.
Schadt’s Court of Honor Ceremony will take place May 15 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of the River Catholic Church.
