Earlier this month, the Alumni Association of Clinton Community College named the Sisters of St. Francis the Outstanding Friend of the College 2016. “The Sisters of St. Francis are active in the community supporting many great causes and activities,” said Kris Hingstrum, of the Alumni Association. “When we were looking into having a poverty simulation for our support staff and advisors with a limited budget, the Sisters of St. Francis came forth with funding for the project. They also provided the funding for the volunteers who were members of the Getting Ahead program. The program was very well received by all who attended. The sisters and their Community Outreach Director, Lori Freudenberg, do such wonderful work for the Clinton community.” Pictured are, from left, Karen Vickers, president of Clinton Community College, Sister Eileen Golby, Sister Hilary Mullany, Sister Anne Martin Phelan, Marcia Larson of Clinton Community College, Sister Marilyn Shea, Sister Kathleen Holland and Kris Hingstrum of the Alumni Association.
