The sixth annual “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” was held April 26 at St. Ambrose University in Davenport. Students, faculty and staff had two opportunities to participate in the walk. Tim Phillips, associate vice president and dean of students, left; Stephen Finn, general manager of Sodexo at the university, and Orest Akulow don heels for the one-mile walk. Men participate in the event to advocate for the eradication of violence against women. Women’s shoes were available in a variety of sizes and heel heights.
