Davenport — Msgr. Kevin Irwin, S.T.D., will deliver a lecture, “The Eucharist is Justice,” March 8 at 7 p.m. at St. Ambrose University’s Rogalski Center. He is the past Dean of the College of Theology and Religious Studies at the Catholic University of America and worked with the Environmental Justice Committee of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in the 1990s. His most recent research interests concern the intersection of a theology of ecology with the church’s celebration of the sacred liturgy and the sacraments. The lecture is free and open to the public.
