Bettendorf — Join a panel discussion on end-of-life issues Nov. 12 at St. John Vianney Parish from 7-9 p.m. The event is titled, “The Difficult Conversation: When all is said and done how do we talk about the end of life with those we love?” The discussion is based on the book “Being Mortal” by Atul Gawande. Prior reading of the book is not required. Panelists include Dr. Steve Sorensen, Fr. James Vrba, Chaplain Marlin Whitmer and Cindy Flanders-Brown. Panel facilitator is Chris McCormick Pries.
