The Social Action office of the Diocese of Davenport is hosting two Kick-Off Breakfasts in preparation for the upcoming Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) collection.
The first breakfast will take place Oct. 3 at the St. Vincent Center in Davenport at 10 a.m. The second breakfast will be held Oct. 17 in Iowa City; location will be announced in a future issue of The Catholic Messenger.
CCHD is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by funding community programs. Breakfast participants will learn more about how CCHD funded groups in the Diocese walk alongside persons living and working in poverty in pursuit of social and economic justice. Participants will receive print and video resources to help promote the CCHD collection in November.
