Dear Editor,
On Aug. 22, more than 400 individuals from our local pro-life community joined together outside Planned Parenthood in Bettendorf — as did many others at more than 342 Planned Parenthood clinics across America — to demand defunding of the abortion giant. We urge the funding of real health care for women — as part of the #PPSellsBabyParts National Day of Protest.
We are so thankful for these brave men, women and children who gave up their time to share truth and hope with their communities and to offer their prayers and support in ending this human horror of abortion. In addition, our local pregnancy care centers (The Women’s Choice Center, Bettendorf; Pregnancy Resources, Davenport and Moline, Illinois; and The Pregnancy Center of Clinton) offer free medical services to women facing an unplanned pregnancy, adoption education and grief recovery assistance to those suffering from a past abortion choice. It was a beautiful day of joining our hearts, hands and prayers for our nation.
