Grinnell — St. Mary Parish is hosting a program titled “The Common Good and Climate Change” July 25 at 1 p.m. at the Drake Library in Grinnell. The aim of the program is to create a better understanding of our responsibility to care for the natural environment and to protect the most vulnerable among us. The 60 minute presentation is composed of two guest speakers: Father Bud Grant, an environmental theologian and professor at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, and John Clayton, a local native life enthusiast who is trained on climate reality through Al Gore’s foundation. The event is free and open to the public.
