Have you thought about your legacy?
Most of us want to make a difference in this world. We want to leave behind a legacy. For many people it is children and grandchildren. For others it might be a significant impact made in one’s business or civic community.
All of us are able to make a difference with a financial gift such as a bequest written in a will or trust to charity.
This could be a percentage of your estate, a specific asset or the residue of your estate. You might name a charity as the beneficiary of your insurance policy or your retirement asset.
Please consider including your parish, your Catholic school and the Catholic Foundation in your estate plans. You might want to look at our planned giving website www.cfddgift.org. This website has new and pertinent information on a weekly basis on topics such as Washington news, finance news, savvy living and personal estate planning.
Please contact Sister Laura Goedken, OP, at Goedken@davenportdiocese.org or (563) 888-4252 for more information or to receive a copy of a monthly e-newsletter on planned giving.
