The Houghton Knights of Columbus Council #3905 celebrated its 60th anniversary on Dec. 1. From left are founding members Jim Denning and Bert Holtkamp with Father Bruce DeRammelaere, pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish in Houghton and St. James Parish in St. Paul, and Grand Knight Kyle Kirchner. Holtkamp said 80 members were present at the first meeting Dec. 12, 1954. Today, there are 285 members in the council.
