Musician Poirier to perform

Catholic composer and guitarist/vocalist Michael John Poirier will perform Advent programs in the Diocese of Davenport.
On Dec. 5, he will perform at Ss. Philip & James Parish in Grand Mound. From 7 to 8 p.m. he will perform “Songs and Adoration,” and from 8 to 9 p.m. he will perform at the youth group conference, featuring themes about life after death and forgiveness.
On Dec. 6, he will perform “Stories and Songs about the Season of Advent” from 10 a.m. to noon at Ss. Philip and James. At 5 p.m. he will perform the same program at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bettendorf. From 7 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 6, he will perform at Our Lady of Lourdes men’s conference with the themes of “Called to Be Prayer Warriors,” with special presentation by Devon Schatz, “The Secret to a Life of Glory.”
On Dec. 7, Poirier will perform the “Stories and Songs About the Season of Advent” at St. Joseph Parish in Hills from 2 to 3 p.m.
A free will offering will be taken at each event, with the Dec. 7 event benefitting the Holy Land Rosary Factory in Haiti. For more information, call Father Bill Kneemiller at (563) 321-1024.
