Mount Pleasant – Irish tenor Mark Forrest will perform, “Come Walk with Me” with pianist John Paul Kaplan, May 9 at 7 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 607 S. Jackson St.
Forrest has traveled the globe and started Faith and Family Foundation that supports people and families with special needs.
Mark and his wife Muriel were inspired to start the organization after their son was born with a “severley compromised” heart and died at five says old. Their second son was diagnosed with a rare nerve disease that left him blind and reliant on a wheelchair.
Because of the challenges his family has faced, Mark Forrest stresses “the importance of living in the present and not taking the gift of life for granted.”
