LECTURES
Bettendorf — Cathy and Ken Miller will present “Twinning Partnerships, The Road to Social Change” on Nov. 29 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in St. John Vianney Parish’s activity center.
Dubuque – “The Laity after Vatican II: Collaboration in Ministry,” a lecture by Zeni Fox on Dec. 2, will begin at 2 p.m. in Terence Donaghoe Hall, Clarke University.  Parking will be available in campus lots on Clarke Drive.  The event is free and open to the public.
Muscatine – Iowa Interfaith Power & Light is co-sponsoring an event to share information with faith communities about how to save money and care for the Earth through energy efficiency and renewable energy. LITURGY/PRAYER
Davenport —  A healing Mass will be celebrated Nov. 16 at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Confessions start at 6 p.m., praise music at 6:30 p.m., and Mass at 7:15 p.m. Theme is “Healing of the Family Tree.” All are welcome.
Davenport – St. Paul the Apostle Parish has made the following changes to its 8:30 a.m. weekday Mass schedule and Saturday confession time. Tuesday 8:30 a.m. Mass has been changed to 5:30 p.m. and will follow an hour of adoration from 4-5:15 p.m. The sacrament of reconciliation will be available during adoration on Tuesdays. Instead of Saturday afternoon reconciliation, the sacrament will be available from 9:15-10:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
Davenport – At Eagles’ Wings, Bishop Martin Amos will bless the ministry during an open house celebration of Eagles’ Wings 20th birthday Nov. 18 between 3 and 5 p.m.
Wheatland – A Taize vigil service will take place at Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat on Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. Taize is an ecumenical movement drawing Christians together in prayer. Future services will be held the first Sunday of each month at 5 p.m., followed by a soup supper. MEETINGS
Davenport – The St. Anthony grief group will begin its nine weekly meetings in the St. Anthony Parish Library on Dec. 4 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.  The group will not meet the Tuesdays of Christmas or Jan. 1, so it will meet through Feb. 12.  For more information or to register, call facilitators Dennis at (563) 332-1396, Ginny at (309) 523-9251, or Nadine at (563) 391-5161. Iowa City — The Diocese of Davenport’s Justice and Peace Advocacy Team will meet Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 5:30 p.m. in the lower level of St. Patrick Church. For more information, call the diocesan social action office at (563) 324-1911.
RETREATS

SOCIALS
Buffalo — St. Peter Church will hold a cookie walk Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to noon at the rectory, 406 Fourth St. Cost is $10 for a large container and $7 for a small container. There will be photos with Santa.
Clinton — The Prince of Peace Players will present the Broadway musical “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” on Nov. 16–17 at 7 p.m.  Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students 18 years and younger.
Davenport – St. Anthony Parish’s Christmas Mini-Bazaar will take place in the parish library on Dec. 1 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Dec. 2 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The mini-bazaar will include crafts, knitted items and holiday gifts. Food will be available.
Davenport — All Saints Catholic School is sponsoring a K-12 chess tournament Nov. 17 at 1926 N. Marquette St. Fee is $10. Matches begin at 9 a.m. and end around 1-2 p.m. For more information, call Eileen O’Brien at (563) 271-2563 or George Meister at (563) 343-8551.
Davenport – St. Alphonsus Church will hold a craft show Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Handmade quilts, stained glass, candles, jewelry and more will be for sale. Iowa City – St. Patrick Parish will host a bake sale to benefit Johnson County Right to Life after all Masses Nov. 17-18.
