Why did you become a deacon?
I was feeling an emptiness inside even though I was very active in the Church. At this time we had a newly ordained deacon in the parish. In visiting with the priest and deacon I felt a calling to a deeper commitment of service and dedication. Through discernment and prayer the application process was started and our journey began through formation.
What ministries are you involved in?
Sponsor couple, hospital visitation, ministry to the homebound, confirmation table leader, confirmation retreat team, bereavement, wake services, baptism preparation, baptism, persons with disabilities council, Café on Vine
What are your challenges?
Health.  Trusting the Holy Spirit will be guiding you when encountering a situation in which no human words could provide comfort to those experiencing loss of a loved one.
Favorite Scripture passage: Matthew 8:8
