Reflecting on marriage

Facebooktwittermail

To the Editor:
Jeanne and I had our 62nd anniversary on May 6. We have never had an argument. We start each day with a hug and a kiss and “I love you.” We never pass up a chance to hug and kiss.
We have five wonderful children and their families. We had a boy for only one day who is in heaven with God watching over us.
A poem I’ve written, titled “Why,” expands on my thoughts: “Why do we let the pressures of living dictate our lives? Why don’t we take the time to sit back and enjoy the sunrise or sunset? Why don’t we take the time to hold hands, hug and take a walk together? There are so many ‘whys’ in our lives. Why not just look at God’s creations and enjoy what he has given us?”
