Funeral Services for Eleanor L. Bane-Wildasin, 79, a resident of Davenport will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 4105 N. Division St. Davenport. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main St. Davenport.   A prayer service will be offered on Wednesday at the funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. to begin visitation.  Addition visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service on Thursday at the church.

Eleanor died Sunday May 6, 2012 at her home after a brief illness.

Eleanor Lois Bane was born July 20, 1932 in Davenport, the daughter of Richard C. and Elsie L. (Beyer) Bane.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Ambrose (College) University.

She was employed at the former Lutheran Hospital, Moline, IL. and Mercy Hospital (Genesis East) for over 12 years having spent the last 7 years in the Pediatric Department.  Eleanor retired in 1982.

Eleanor was united in marriage to Gary R. Wildasin October 10, 1984 at Our Lady of Victory Church.   She enjoyed china painting, calligraphy, needlework, reading and gardening especially flowers.  She was a 37 year charter member of Our Lady of Victory, sang in the church choir, member of AARP and Plus Sixty.

Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Gary; a sisters, Sylvia Heaton, Davenport,

Kathy Miller (Jack), Sun City West, AZ, and 15 nieces and nephews.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Marilyn.
