Graveside Services for William Mike Barry, 66 a resident of Broomfield, Colo., formerly of Davenport will be 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa.
Michael died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Bolder Community Hospital, Bolder, CO. after a sudden illness. William Michael Barry was born April 4, 1945 in Davenport, the son of Walter “Bill” and Ann M. (Sulentic) Barry. Michael attended Sacred Heart Grade School and graduated from Assumption High School, Davenport, in 1963. He received his BA in Journalism from the University of Iowa. Mike was a journalist for the Rocky Mountain News for 30 years before retiring.
Michael is survived by his daughter Amy Barry-Wolfer (David), Longmont, CO, a sister Jane Barry, New Jersey, and a brother in law, Jim A. Bobula, Madison, WI. 3 nieces and 1 nephew.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and a sister Suzanne Colleen (Barry) Bobula. May they rest in peace.
