Funeral Services and Mass of Christian Burial for Ethel M. Runge, 94, formerly of Bettendorf will be 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4097 – 18th Street, Bettendorf. 

The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time at the church.  Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. 

Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Runge died Wednesday, July6, 2011 at The Heights, Broadview Heights, Ohio after a brief illness.

Ethel M. Hingtgen was born December 2, 1916 in La Motte, Iowa, the daughter of John and Irene (Hayes) Hingtgen. She was united in marriage to Harry H. Runge on August 30, 1945 in Moline, IL. He preceded her in death May 12, 1970. 

Ethel was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and Ladies of the Moose. She was employed for over 28 years in quality control at Bendix Corporation, Davenport (Cobham Life Support). 

Memorials may be made to St. John Vianney Catholic Church or your favorite charity.

Survivors include her niece, Beverly Bauza, Cleveland, Ohio and a nephew James Slovinski (Mary), Denver, CO, and a brother Carl A. Hingtgen, Moline, IL.

Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, and sisters, Eleanore “Babe” Simmons and Delores Slovinski.  May they rest in peace.
