During the Advent season, students celebrated with a special weekly prayer service.
Tom Shadonix, Seton’s music teacher, would light the Advent wreath and lead the students and staff in prayer. The teachers would then each say a prayer related to each week of Advent.
In addition to the Advent prayer services, the students and staff participated in a prayer service weekly focusing on the Jesse Tree. A student from each class would add a symbol to the Jesse Tree while his or her teacher would read Scripture verses that explained the symbol’s meaning. Both prayer services provided an opportunity for the students to learn together about Advent and biblical history.
