Funeral services to celebrate the life of Ricarda “Rica” Otto, 82, a resident of Bettendorf, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Bettendorf.
Entombment will take place in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, where a prayer service will be offered at 4 p.m. to begin visitation.
Ricarda died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Manor Care, Utica Ridge Road, Davenport, after an illness.
Ricarda was born April 3, 1928, in Rock Island, the daughter of Isabel Gutierrez and Aurelia Ramurez. She was united in marriage to Gerald Otto on Feb. 11, 1961 in Rock Island. Ricarda retired from Service Rubber Co, Rock Island, in 1964. After her retirement she was employed by Donut Time and Osco Drug of Bettendorf.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald, Bettendorf, a daughter Tanya Buckley (Chuck), Davenport, a son Gerald Otto, Jr. Bettendorf, a granddaughter, Katherine Kiely, Davenport, and a grandson Ryan Otto, Bennington, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and 3 brothers. May they rest in peace. .
