Shradel on September 1, 1936 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Riverside, IA. Evelyn died September 30, 2007. They had celebrated seventy-one years together.

Jim was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, AARP, and the Quad City Times Plus 60 Club. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather; he especially cherished the time he spent with family. Jim was a fan of the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals, and of Notre Dame football. He thoroughly enjoyed the neighborhood he lived in since 1953. The little kids of the neighborhood captured his heart. His smile will be missed.
