Davenport — St. Paul the Apostle Parish will host a rosary crusade each Friday during the month of May. Rosary begins at 6 a.m. in the church, and Mass follows at 6:30 a.m.

Muscatine — A Corpus Christi Mass and procession will take place at St. Mathias Church June 6 at 11:30 a.m. Mass will be bilingual, and lunch and eucharistic adoration will follow the procession.

Sugar Creek — A Corpus Christi Mass and procession will take place at St. Joseph Church, 3218 110th St., Preston, June 5 at 4:30 p.m. The Altar & Rosary Society will serve a meal after the procession in the parish hall.

MEETINGS

Bettendorf — The Women’s Choice Center is holding a volunteer training session on Saturday, May 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the center, 2711 Happy Joe Drive. The center is in need of receptionists, data entry clerks, client advocates and general office help. Please contact Vicki at (563) 332-0475.

Moline, Ill. — The Blessed John XXIII fraternity of the Secular Franciscans is hosting the presentation “Ethics, Theology & the Theology of the Corporation”  Saturday, June 26, at Sacred Heart Church. Iowa City — A chili cook-off will take place May 29 at 5:30 p.m. in the basement of St. Wenceslaus Church, 623 Fairchild St. To enter a recipe for $10, arrive at 5 p.m. to set up. Bring at least one gallon of chili in a warmer or crock-pot. For those who plan to eat and vote, a $5 minimum donation is suggested. Proceeds will be used to help Dr. Stephen Pallone train to become a medical consultant of the Creighton Model of Natural Family Planning at the Pope Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction in Omaha.

Muscatine —  The parishioners of Ss. Mary & Mathias Parish are honoring their pastor, Father Jason Crossen, on the 10-year anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. They are celebrating with a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception at Gannon Hall, St. Mathias Church, on Saturday, June 26, from 6-8 p.m. with a program at 6:30 p.m. Fr. Crossen will be presented with special gifts from the parish, including a DVD highlighting activities from the past seven years of his time with the Muscatine Catholic Community.

Sinsinawa, Wis. — Louise Temte of Onalaska, Wis., will perform for the June 16 Summer Organ Concert series at Sinsinawa Mound. Temte is an organist at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, La Crosse, Wis., and has served churches in La Crosse and in Sturgeon Bay, Wis. Sinsinawa Mound, the motherhouse for the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters, is located in southwest Wisconsin on County Road Z, off Highway 11, about five miles northeast of Dubuque.

Solon — St. Bridget’s annual Memorial Day event will take place in the cemetery at the former St. Bridget Church May 31. Bring your lawn chair. An open house will begin at 8 a.m., and Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. A program after Mass will honor veterans, deceased family and all members of the St. Bridget’s community. Following the program, light refreshments will be served until 11:30 a.m.
