Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Christine R. “Chris” Glowacki, 40, formerly of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. All are invited to join the family at 4 p.m. for a prayer service to begin the visitation. Chris passed away unexpectedly at her home in Stonewood, W.Va., on Friday, April 16, 2010. Memorials may be made to either the Quad City Animal Welfare Center or Holy Family Church.
Christine Regina Glowacki was born April 18, 1969 in Omaha, a daughter of William and Sharon (Roder) Glowacki. She was a 1987 graduate of Davenport West High School and currently living in West Virginia.
In addition to her parents, Chris is survived by her fiancé Steven Johnson of Stonewood; a sister Lisa (Chris) Koehler, Barrington, Ill.; two brothers Robert (Jane) Glowacki, Barrington Hills, Ill., and Dr. Paul (Mary) Glowacki, Nickerson, Neb; 9 nieces and nephews; her grandmother Helen Wiederholt, LeMars; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
