Lenten faith formation opportunities

BETTENDORF — Our Lady of Lourdes Parish will offer the following adult faith formation opportunities during Lent:

• Journey though the Catechism: The “Why Catholic” session will be covering the second book, “The Celebration of the Christian Mystery:  Sacraments.” This will be a 12-week session focused on celebrating faith in sacramental liturgy. The class will be held between Sunday morning Masses, or could be set up at other times if there is interest from the current faith-sharing groups. If you have any questions concerning Why Catholic, please call Larry Decker at (563) 332-5931.

• Disciples in Mission is an evangelization experience. This helps participants to grow in holiness, to become more welcoming, and to witness to Christ more consciously in their families, neighborhoods, and workplaces. Year A will be discussed this year. Sign up to join a faith sharing group, or if you have participated with one in the past, sign your group up at the parish. If you have any questions, please call Larry Decker at (563) 332-5931.

• Apologetics is a program on “How to Explain and Defend the Catholic Faith.” Learn how to explain your faith clearly, defend it charitably and share it confidently with the popular Beginning Apologetics series at Our Lady of Lourdes. If you have any questions, please call Stephen Perenich at (563) 359-1572.
