Funeral services and Memorial Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Rose Mary Marriott, 85, of Minneapolis, formerly of Bettendorf, were Oct. 19, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf.

Visitation was Oct. 18 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. In accordance with her wishes her body was to be donated to the University of Iowa following visitation. Burial was to be at a later date at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Mrs. Marriott passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009 at Augustana Healthcare Center, Minneapolis.

Rose Mary Frisch was born February 8, 1924 in Pleasant Valley, IA, a daughter of Hans and Anna (Hendrych) Frisch. She was united in marriage to Thomas J. Marriott, Sr. on Oct. 17, 1944 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Davenport. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1998.

Prior to her retirement in 1991, Rose had worked for Wagner’s Printers for 25 years as a bindery worker.

Survivors include her daughters and sons in law Patricia and Greg Callahan, Yachats, Ore., Jean Marie and Kevin Erdahl, Minneapolis; son and daughter in law Thomas and Camilla Marriott, Jr., Allentown, Penn.; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a sister Lily Anna Osmun, Napa, Ind.

In addition to her husband Thomas, her brother Carl Frisch preceded her in death.
