Due to an unexpected circumstance, our pastor at St. John Vianney Parish in Bettendorf was not able to preside at our Easter Vigil Mass. We certainly missed him and pray for him to get well soon.
I know that I speak for many when I say “thank you” to Msgr. Drake Shafer for stepping in. Msgr. Shafer did an awesome job! He delivered an inspiring and heartfelt homily! He endeared himself to the neophytes, allowing them to be relaxed and confident. He did his part in bringing the service to life!
Msgr. Shafer has a tremendous gift, and we thank him for sharing that gift with us! Welcome back Monsignor! We missed you!
