DAVENPORT — The 28th annual Quad-Cities Holocaust Remembrance will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at Temple Emanuel, 1115 Mississippi Ave., Davenport. Admission is free.

Ralph Troll, child survivor of the Holocaust, U.S. Army veteran, and professor emeritus at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill., will be the featured speaker.

Yom HaShoah, translated, means “Day of Remembrance of the Holocaust.” As part of the annual observance, memorial candles are lit for the 6 million Jews — and millions of others — who were murdered by Nazi Germany and its allies before and during World War II.
