Kindergarteners’ progress impresses

Kindergarten students partner with fifth-graders every other Friday to color, read and have fun.

“The kindergarten students have been working very hard this year learning how to read and write,” said Nikki Holladay, kindergarten teacher. “They surprise me every day on how well they are doing.

“In math we just finished measurement and are now starting on time. In science we have been learning about plants and animals and their life cycles. We grew pinto beans and in the next few weeks we will be watching a caterpillar transform into a butterfly. In religion we are studying the Lenten season.”
