He wed Janet (Thompson) Kelley on Nov. 23, 1957 they had three children together.

Later in life he married Nancy Wiese on July 10, 1982. They were childhood friends and were reunited March 17, 1981. They spent many hours reminiscing over memories of their childhood and the time they spent as buddies. They were true soul mates and enjoyed their life together. Bill was a loving and gentle husband, a true gentleman. Bill’s children and grandchildren were the pride of his life. His face would light up whenever they called and stopped over. For many years he took part in the organizing of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the Blue Grass Parade and different jobs with the Bix festival. Bill loved a party! Another of Bill’s passions was golf. He loved being on the course with friends and his buddy Leon, who helped him with some golf strategies.
