The Diocese of Davenport received a report of inappropriate sexual behavior in regard to a minor by Father John Stack dating from the 1990s. In compliance with the diocese’s Memorandum of Understanding with local law enforcement, both Scott County and Clinton County (where the alleged behavior took place) were notified, diocesan officials said. The case was referred back to the diocese for further investigation and possible canonical process. In compliance with the diocese’s Policies Relating to Sexual and Personal Behavior, Father Stack has been removed from ministry while the diocese investigates this allegation further.
