DAVENPORT — All current Black Hawk College (Illinois) students who transfer full-time to St. Ambrose University will be eligible for a combined $20,000 in total scholarships, beginning in fall 2023. The renewable scholarship requires no separate application. There is no limit on scholarships awarded.

“The Black Hawk scholarship demonstrates St. Ambrose’s commitment to the greater community. Enrolling more transfer students enriches and diversifies our institution and the campus experience,” said LeShane Saddler, president for enrollment management.

This new scholarship model is one of many ways in which St. Ambrose University continues to remove barriers for all students and envision pathways to increase access to an affordable, private, liberal arts education.

“Our students transfer to universities throughout the U.S.,” said Amy Maxeiner, Black Hawk College’s vice president for instruction and student services. “St. Ambrose is a great transfer destination for many of them and this scholarship opportunity will certainly help. It’s another example of how well our two institutions have partnered over the years for the benefit of our students.”

The application period for the 2023-2024 school year at St. Ambrose University is now open to current students of Black Hawk College and to prospective students interested in exploring other financial aid opportunities. Apply to St. Ambrose University and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using the St. Ambrose FAFSA code: 001889
