What a wonderful guest column by Father Jim Betzen (March 31) about his experience as pastor of St. Mary Parish in Ottumwa. His description of the Micronesian Chuuk members of the parish and his pastoral connection to a people in a strange land and culture is truly inspiring. Listening, learning and welcoming are described in his experience of ministering to the diversity of God’s people. Thank you, Father Jim.
