To the Editor:
Reading the news about the Davenport Birthright closing brought back many thoughts. Thoughts of the women who opened Birthright on Brady Street. A simple structure staffed by volunteers. Many reading this may know of it from your mom or grandma. Rosemary Motto always comes to my mind as I recall how many Mother’s Day Sundays that Rosemary had a large bouquet of paper roses and handed them to us as we left Mass that day. Rest in peace, Birthright of Davenport.
