TIPTON — Deacon Bob Snavely, 87, died on Jan. 6.
He was ordained in the first permanent diaconate classs for the Diocese of Davenport on April 13, 1980, by Bishop Gerald O’Keefe. He was married to Evelyn (Hanish) for 63 years. She still resides in Tipton.
Deacon Snavely’s funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 10 at St. Mary Church in Tipton. Committal will be Jan. 11 in Pocahontas, Iowa.
