Eleven certified as spiritual directors

YANKTON, S.D. — Tammy Norcross-Reitzler, campus ministry director of faith formation for St. Ambrose University in Davenport, received certification as a spiritual director during a ceremony earlier this month at Benedictine Peace Center of Sacred Heart Monastery.

She was among 11 women who received certification during the close of their final residency April 16-19. Participants came from Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota to complete this two-year program staffed by the director, Sister Jeanne Ranek, and Sisters Doris Oberembt and Mary Jo Polak.

Norcross-Reitzler has served in parish ministry in the Diocese of Davenport since 1988 and received her master’s degree in pastoral studies from St. Ambrose University in 1993. She joined the St. Ambrose campus ministry staff in 2014.
