Emergency preparedness workshop July 26

Faithful Readiness: An Emergency Preparedness Workshop for Faith Communities will be held July 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4097 18th St., Bettendorf.
It is a collaborative effort between FEMA, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Center for Faith-based & Neighborhood Partnerships, and state and local partners. The event is free, but registration is required.
Participants will meet FEMA Region VII liaisons to discuss the Faithful Readiness Initiative involving faith communities throughout the region, be introduced to FEMA’s booklet, “Developing a High Quality Emergency Operations Plan for your House of Worship” and connect with new partners ready to help support your house of worship’s members prepare for emergencies.
