DAVENPORT — Bishop Martin Amos will ordain one priest and two transitional deacons during Mass on June 4. The Mass begins at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Deacon Ross Epping will be ordained to the priesthood and Dan Dorau and Chris Weber will be ordained deacons.
Deacon Epping, 26, was born in Rockford, Ill., and grew up in Iowa. He graduated from St. Ambrose University in Davenport with bachelor degrees in theology and philosophy. He completed his theological studies at University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary in Mundelein, Ill.
On June 6, 2015, he was ordained a transitional deacon at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
During his studies, Deacon Epping completed his clinical pastoral education at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colo. He completed his internship at Holy Family Parish in Fort Madison.
Deacon Epping will celebrate his first Mass as a priest at 10:30 a.m. June 5 at Christ the King Chapel on the St. Ambrose University campus.
Dorau just completed his third year of major seminary at Sacred Heart School of Theology in Hales Corners, Wis.
Weber just completed his third year of major seminary at St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity in St. Paul, Minn.
