The School Sisters of Christ the King of Lincoln, Neb., welcomed Brianna Marie Fritz into the novitiate on Dec.27.
During the Rite of Initiation ceremony Fritz received the habit of the community, a copy of the constitutions, and her new religious name, Sister Mary Ignatia, for St. Ignatius of Loyola.
Sr. Mary Ignatia is the daughter of Victor and Angela Fritz of Brighton, Iowa, and a member of St. James Parish in Washington, Iowa. Before entering the School Sisters of Christ the King she attended Kirkwood Community College.
