Golf and faith opportunities

SHERRARD, Ill. — A group of lay people in the Davenport Diocese has organized a golf outing for Oct. 4 at Fyre Lake Golf Course in Sherrard, Illinois, to socialize and learn more about faith enrichment opportunities.
The group invites anyone involved in a Bible study, CEW, faith formation, Vacation Bible School, continuing education, youth ministry or other faith-based group to participate.
The event begins with a noon shot-gun start, best ball format. An outdoor Mass will be celebrated at 6:30 p.m., followed by a post-event picnic, live entertainment and a cash bar.
Tickets are $50 per person, which includes a round of golf with a cart and the meal, or $15 per person for non-golfers, meal included.
