Recognition of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide will be marked by three events in the Quad Cities. A documentary film will be shown at Figge Art Museum in Davenport March 22 at 4 p.m.; cost is $7.60 for adults, $6 for seniors and members of the military, and free for students.
An interfaith prayer service will take place at St. Ambrose University’s Christ the King Chapel March 24 at 7 p.m. Bishop Martin Amos and Armenian Priest Aren Jebejian of St. Gregory Parish, Chicago will lead the prayer service.
Jebejian and Armenian American Raelene Ohanesian Pullen will speak at Augustana College’s Wallenberg Hall in Rock Island, Ill. March 25 at 7 p.m. There is no cost to attend the prayer service or the presentations.
The events are sponsored by The Armenian Genocide Remembrance Committee of the Quad Cities, Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities, Augustana College and St. Ambrose University Campus Ministry.
