St. Ambrose University’s commencement speaker was the best ever. Father Greg Boyle, who has worked with Folsom Prison and Mexican penal colonies — among other things — developed “Homeboy Industries” to redirect and rehab L.A. gang members and offered directives and hope for Ambrosian graduates, friends, family and faculty at the center of Ambrose’s own concern for justice and peace.
Sister Joan Lescinski and her Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet receive high commendation for finding and acquiring someone to speak (May 10) convincingly about non-violent alternatives to death penalties, guns and weapons proliferation — a truly pro-life venue!
