Clinton — An illustrated lecture, “The Life and Times of Father Edward M. Catich,” will take place May 18 at 2 p.m. at the River Arts Center.
Fr. Catich was a calligrapher, teacher, scholar and artist. He wrote three books on historic letterforms and calligraphic techniques.
Paul Herrera, a friend and student of the late Fr. Catich, will give the presentation. Herrera and Fr. Catich previously taught together at the Davenport Municipal Art Gallery in Davenport.
