Burlington – The CAFÉ (Catholic Adult Fellowship Evening) opens for a second season in the Notre Dame School cafeteria on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 6:45 p.m. as Father David Steinle presents “Why Do Catholics Do That?” Child care is provided.
Coralville – St. Thomas More Parish will offer the following Bible studies. On Sundays from 6–8 p.m. is a study and fellowship for couples. This 10-week course on Exodus from the Ascension Press Bible Timeline series will begin Sept. 8 in the multi-purpose room. Davenport – All are invited to the Davenport Deanery Year of Faith celebration Sept. 22 at 3 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Bishop Martin Amos will lead Evening Prayer, the official prayer of the Church. Knights of Columbus councils for the deanery will host a cookout on the lawn north of the cathedral following the celebration.
Davenport – A healing Mass will be celebrated at Eagles’ Wings at 1 p.m. Sept. 10.

Davenport – Eagles’ Wings will offer a retreat day, “My Beautiful One,” on Sept. 6 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. This silent, directed retreat will focus on “The lover and his beloved” using the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Lone Tree – St. Mary’s fall auction is Sept. 22 at the Lone Tree American Legion. Silent auction runs from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lunch starts at 11 a.m. Regular auction follows at 1 p.m. People may bid on homemade pies, cakes and crafts.
Mechanicsville – St. Mary Parish will hold its annual ice cream social and country store on Sept. 22 in the parish hall from 4-6:30 p.m. Cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children and free for children 3 and younger. A meal will be served. The event includes crafts, baked goods and a quilt raffle.
Sigourney – St. Mary Parish’s fall festival is Sept. 15 at St. Mary Hall.
