WHEATLAND – People are invited to join the Sisters of Humility for the annual “Spirit of the Prairie” retreat on Sunday, Aug. 25, from 3–6 p.m. at Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat, 2664 145th Ave. The event will feature locally raised and prepared food, locally made wines and beers, and local entertainment. All proceeds will benefit The Prairie Retreat scholarship fund.
Tours will be conducted throughout the afternoon. There will be a silent auction of handmade baskets filled with local gift items. Cost is $40 per person.
Parking and shuttle service will be available at the Humility of Mary Center, 820 W. Central Park Ave., Davenport.
